The Mull Rally
Held in October, the Mull Rally has been a great success for the last 50 years and is a must see. It was the first rally in the UK to achieve closed public road status and the notoriety of the roads on Mull continues to secure the reputation and excitement of this event.
Mull Music Festival
A significant highlight of the town’s calendar, the Mull Music Festival is held in late April and is a weekend of Scottish music featuring folk-rock, traditional fiddle, Gaelic singers and accordion dance and ceilidh bands. The festival takes place in The Mishnish, as well as other hotel and bar venues local to Tobermory. The event is arguably one of the best free music festivals around!
The Annual Mull Highland Games
Early each summer, this event includes traditionally kilted men tossing cabers, throwing hammers and getting involved in the infamous tug o’ war – it’s an exciting event for all involved and there’s plenty celebrations afterwards around the town with live music, dancing and merriment. t.
West Highland Yachting Week
Takes place in late summer and attracts sailors from all over who race their way from Craobh Haven to Tobermory via Oban, enjoying the local pubs and restaurants (and more pubs!) along the way!
The local Mòd
The Scottish Gaelic festival of song, arts and culture takes place on the second Saturday in September and has established itself as one of the best local Mòds on the circuit. Great for encouraging the use and development if the Gaelic language and music through voice, choral, oral and instrumental competitions.
